Quran Discussion : Salat (Salah), The Prescribed Pray

Q:  I would like to open discussion about salat based on Quran only

http://www.quran-islam.org/main_topics/islam/pillars/al-salat_(P1192).html

A: Ok let me give a different yet broader understanding of salah and at the same time explain the misunderstanding of Islam that I mentioned earlier

Islam according to our historical ideology started 1400 years ago.

This is a completely ridiculous idea.

Islam didn’t start 1400 years ago but was completed and perfected 1400 years ago.

That is why Muhammad is the final prophet who delivered the final word

According to the Quran Islam started with Ibrahim, not Muhammad.

Before Ibrahim all the people got one choice, either accept the word or face the consequences. Ibrahim was the first to use logical reasoning to find the path to Allah.

The Quran repeats in numerous places that it is Ibrahim we follow, NOT Muhammad. In fact many reference to the final prophet is in regards to him following Ibrahim’s established path.

A little more about Ibrahim from Quran

He was selected the imam of mankind

2:124 And when tried Ibrahim hi s Lord with words and he fulfilled them, He said, “Indeed (am) the One to make you for the mankind a leader (lilnnasi Imaman).” He said, “And from my offspring?” He said, “(Does) not reach My Covenant (to) the wrongdoers.”

We (included the prophet) are continually commanded to say we follow the faith of Ibrahim.

3:95 Say: “God bears truth. Follow the creed of Abraham, monotheism, and he was not of the polytheists.”

4:125 And who is better in the system than the one who submits himself to God, and he is a good doer, and he follows the creed of Abraham in monotheism? And God took Abraham as a friend.

16:123 Then We inspired to you: “You shall follow the creed of Abraham, monotheism, and he was not of the polytheists.

2:135 And they said, “Be Jews or Christians, (then) you will be guided.” Say, “Nay, (the) religion (of) Ibrahim, (the) upright; and not he was of those who associated partners

Here is a the only shahada in the Quran that is attached to a prophet, and it’s Ibrahim

6:161-163 Say: “My Lord has guided me to a straight path, an upright system, the creed of Abraham the monotheist; he was not of the polytheists.”

Say: “My contact prayer, and my rites, and my life, and my death, are all to God, Lord of the worlds.” “He has no partner, and it is to this that I was commanded, and I am the first of those who have submitted.”

This next ayat says hadha meaning the prophet was also just a follower

3:68 The most legitimate people to Abraham are those who followed him; and THIS (HADHA) prophet, and those who believed; and God is the supporter of the believers.

These ayat Ibrahim named us Muslims

22:78 And strive in the cause of God its truly deserved striving. He is the One who has chosen you, and He has made no hardship for you in the system, the creed of your father Abraham; He is the One who named you

‘those who have submitted’ MUSLIMAN

from before and in this.

So let the messenger be witness over you and you be witness over the people. So hold the bond and contribute towards purification and hold tight to God, He is your patron. What an excellent Patron, and what an excellent Supporter.

2:128 Our Lord! [and] Make us both submissive (muslimayni) to You. And from our offspring a community submissive (mus’limatan) to You. And show us our ways of worship and turn to us. Indeed You! [You] (are) the Oft-returning, the Most Merciful.

This ayat Ibrahim established the house and the pray and Islam’s foundations

2.125 And when We made the House a pilgrimage for men and a (place of) security, and: Appoint for yourselves a place of prayer on the standing-place of Ibrahim. And We enjoined Ibrahim and Ismail saying: Purify My House for those who visit (it) and those who abide (in it) for devotion and those who bow down (and) those who prostrate themselves.

1. Appointed place of pray (direction towards Kabah)

2. STANDING place of Prophet Ibrahim

3. ENJOYED On them what to say (the words of Allah)

4. BOW DOWN (plural)

5. PROSTRATE (plural)

And IBRAHIM established hajj so with yearly visitation the actions are never forgotten

22:26-27 And We have appointed to Abraham the location of the House:

“Do not set up anyone with Me,  and purify My House for those who visit, and those who are standing, and the kneeling, the prostrating.”

And call out to the people with the Pilgrimage, they will come to you walking and on every transport, they will come from every deep enclosure

As you can clearly see Ibrahim is the one who not only established the ritual method of pray (in 2:125 when he established the house) but he also established the hajj to it (22:26-27)

For tens of thousands of years the actions of salah have been repeated at the house with Ibrahim’s establishment of the house

And due to the establishment of hajj, it means the house been visited at least once a year so the actions are never forgotten

Ok so to continue, according to the Quran and the link provided above by Arifa, there are 3 prayers mentioned by name

1. Sala-al Fajr-DAWN PRAYER (24:58; 11:114).

2. Sala-al Esha-EVENING PRAYER (24:58; 17:78; 11:114)

3. Sala-al Wusta- MIDDLE PRAYER (2:238; 17:78)

Subliminally 3 times a day is also supported by this ayat

24:41 Do you not see that everything in the heavens and the earth glorifies God? Even the birds in formation, each knows its contact prayer and its glorification. And God is fully aware of everything they do.

kullun qad AAalima salatahu watasbeehahu

each knows its contact prayer and its glorification

Birds are nature’s alarm clocks and according to the ayat they know when Salat should be. ancient civilisations using birds singing as an alram clock. Still use it today like the rooster Birds chirp at sunrise and sunset

Then 6 times it also mentions Tasbih or Glorification- 3:41, 20:130, 50:39, 30:17-18

3.41 He said, “My Lord make for me a sign.” He said, your sign (is) that not you will speak (to) the people (for) three days except (with) gestures. And remember your Lord much, and GLORIFY (Him) in the EVENING and (in) the MORNING.”

20.130 So be patient over what they say and GLORIFY with praise (of) your Lord BEFORE (the) RISING (of) the SUN and BEFORE ITS SETTING; and FROM (the) HOURS (of) THE NIGHT, and GLORIFY (at the) ends (of) THE DAY so that you may be satisfied.

50.39 So be patient over what they say and GLORIFY (the) praise (of) your Lord, BEFORE (the) RISING (of) the SUN and before the SETTING,

30.17-18 So GLORY BE TO ALLAH when you REACH THE EVENING and WHEN you REACH the MORNING. And for Him (are) all praises in the heavens and the earth and (AT) NIGHT and when you are AT NOON.

So the way it is established is 3 salahs and 6 tasbihs throughout the day

Sunrise – 1. Salah, 1. Tasbih

After Sunrise – 2. Tasbih

Noon past – 2. Salah, 3. Tasbih

Afternoon (before Sunset)- 4.Tasbih

After Sunset – 3. Salah, 5. Tasbih

Night – 6.Tasbih

I mentioned we follow Ibrahim earlier and the entire faith is about following his actions

Look at hajj

Hajj has been contaminated with additions but the prime purpose is to visit the house of Ibrahim, remembering his (Ibrahim’s not Muhammad’s) actions and journey to commemorate Allah. These actions never changed because of yearly visitation since it’s establishment

To give more evidence Hajj is all about Ibrahim, the mountains safa marwa are mentioned but “no blame on you” because the sole focus should be the shrine.

Even though the narration isn’t in the Quran but OT, this narration is about Ibrahim’s wife’s struggles.

People added the devils pillars and even though it’s completely wrong, it’s still to remember the temptation of Ibrahim

To some degree even Muhammad’s path to the house is about Ibrahim because he established it, Muhammad completed it at the same place, both purifying it and removing idols.

Following Ibrahim means we can not follow hadiths

It goes against his entire teachings

Ibrahim is not only the father of our faith but the father of modern science

He first studied the psychology of his forefather’s choices in faith, then he questioned their creations, asking why they can’t eat or speak.

He concluded with observation and experiment that their belief system was wrong and illogical and that belief in anything man-made is not the way to God.

He then tested things that aren’t man-made, nature.

He put his trust in the sun, moon and star and after they all faded he concluded using deductive reasoning that his creator must be greater than and can never be a part of “created”.

Science and Philosophy books never mention their true origins because then they have to admit they also follow Ibrahim.

What’s important to remember is Ibrahim didn’t put his trust in manmade objects that the creators claim is required to find Allah, he completely rejected all manmade creations and placed his entire faith in Allah alone. No manmade creations can explain Allah, only Allah can explain the path to Allah

Ibrahim’s rejection of all creations is fundamental in understanding we can not accept hadiths or manmade creations

Then sis you mentioned reasons outside of the Quran to perform salah

Let me show you something inside Quran that goes unnoticed

The Quran has a 3-way theme Repeated CONSTANTLY

The essence of the 3 wise monkeys is a continuing theme throughout by the Quran

Mind, Body and Soul

1. Standing = Seeing = The mind = Intellect = Top region

2. Bowing = Hearing = The body = Feelings = Middle region

3. Prostrating = Unseen = The soul = Faith = Bottom region

3 levels

1 2 3

Look closely at ayats its everywhere

(Watch the numbering at the start and the colours)

2.2

1. That Book, there is no doubt in it, is a guide to those who guard (against evil).

2.3

3. Those who believe in the unseen and keep up prayer and spend out of what We have given them.

2.4

 2. And who believe in that which has been revealed to you and that which was revealed before you and they are sure of the hereafter.

2.5

+positive

These are on a right course from their Lord and these it is that shall be successful.

2.6

-Negative

Surely those who disbelieve, it being alike to them whether you warn them, or do not warn them, will not believe.

2.7

Allah has set a seal upon their

3. hearts

and upon their

2. hearing

and there is a covering over their

1. eyes,

and there is a great punishment for them.

2.8-10

3. And there are some people who say: We believe in Allah and the last day; and they are not at all believers. They desire to deceive Allah and those who believe, and they deceive only themselves and they do not perceive. There is a disease in their hearts, so Allah added to their disease and they shall have a painful chastisement because they lied.

2.11-12

2. And when it is said to them, Do not make mischief in the land, they say: We are but peace-makers. Now surely they themselves are the mischief makers, but they do not perceive.

2.13-15

 1. And when it is said to them: Believe as the people believe they say: Shall we believe as the fools believe? Now surely they themselves are the fools, but they do not know. And when they meet those who believe, they say: We believe; and when they are alone with their Shaitans, they say: Surely we are with you, we were only mocking. Allah shall pay them back their mockery, and He leaves them alone in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on

2.16

2. These are they who buy error for the right direction, so their bargain shall bring no gain, nor are they the followers of the right direction.

2.17

3. Their parable is like the parable of one who kindled a fire but when it had illumined all around him,

1. Allah took away their light, and left them in utter darkness– they do not see.

2.18

2. Deaf,

3. dumb

(and)

1. blind,

so they will not turn back.

2.19

Or like abundant rain from the cloud in which is utter

3. darkness

and

2. thunder

and

1. lightning;

they put their

2. fingers

into their

1. ears

because of the thunder peal,

3. for fear of death,

and Allah encompasses the unbelievers.

2.20

1. The lightning almost takes away their sight; whenever

3. it shines on them they walk in it, and when it becomes

2. dark to them they stand still; and if Allah had pleased

He would certainly have taken away their

2. hearing and their

1. sight; surely Allah has power over all things. (leaving them dumb)

ITs everywhere in the Quran….

24.24

On the day when their

1. tongues

and their

2. hands

and their

3. feet

shall bear witness against them as to what they did.

24.40

Or like utter darkness in the deep sea: there covers it a wave above which is another wave, above which is a cloud, (layers of) utter

3. darkness

one above another; when he holds out his

2. hand,

he is almost unable to

1. see

it; and to whomsoever Allah does not give light, he has no light.

3.191

Those who remember Allah

1. standing

and

2. sitting

and

3. lying on their sides

and

1. reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth:

2. Our Lord! Thou hast not created this in vain! Glory be to Thee;

3. save us then from the chastisement of the fire:

24.52

And he who

1. obeys

Allah and His Apostle,

and

2. fears

Allah,

and is

3. careful of (his duty to) Him,

these it is that are the achievers.

8:11

When He covered you with [the] slumber, a security from Him, and sent down upon you from the sky water, so that He may purify you with it, and take away from you

1. evil (suggestions) (of) the Shaitaan.

And to strengthen [on]

2. our hearts

and make firm with it

3. your feet.

20:46

He said, “(Do) not

3. fear.

Indeed, I Am with you both;

2. I hear

1. and I see.

The theme appears with our prophetic examples

With the deliverance of the written words of Allah to the prophets, you can see the continuation of this 3-way theme.

1. Prophet Musa asked to SEE Allah,

the Samiri perceived something they did not perceive.

People worshipped the calf after seeing major miracles.

The Physical/tangible staff of Musa also represent this aspect.

2. People of Issa HEARD the words of the Holy Spirit, spoken directly from within him. He spoke the miracles, ie bird from breathing into it, Voice=good vibrations

3. With the Quran we received the Holy Spirit (the words of Allah), in a revelation form from the UNSEEN author. The acceptance of the revelation and its authenticity is based on our faith with reason

The theme appears in salah

Salah also represents every living creature. We are the Khalifas of the world and our prayers also incorporate them.

For example, contemplate this ayat.

24:45 And Allah has created from water every living creature: so of them is that which walks upon its belly, and of them is that which walks upon two feet, and of them is that which walks upon four; Allah creates what He pleases; surely Allah has power over all things.

3. Creatures on its belly (prostrate)

1. Walks on two feet (stand)

2. Walks upon four (bow)

Q: Would you share further how you do salah? I mean are you doing 3 times or keep 5 times (salah and tasbih) and how your rekaah ? And about the chanting, which chanting pray you deliver, same as the Sunni’s do or you have alternative chanting?

http://www.quran-islam.org/main_topics/islam/pillars/number_of_salat_(P1200).html

A:

3 times a day salah

Morning midday night

Tasbih or glorification is 6 times a day

1.Before sunrise

2. On or after sunrise

3. Before midday

4. On or after midday

5. Before night

6. On or after night

This means glorification and is basically dhikr or remembrance of Allah, it can be done standing sitting on your side, in other words at anytime and doesn’t require a set ritual

Regards to Rakat. The word “rakat” appears 322 times in 187 Bukhari Hadiths, and 7 times in 6 hadiths in Malik’s Muwatta, and 12 times in Sunan Tirmidhi.

But not once does the word Rakat appear in the Quran.

It’s manmade addition an has no Quranic basis.

The Quranic Salat is simply made up of

standing,

bowing then

prostrating in that order.

This means that as soon as prostration is observed, the Salat is complete.

You can go up and down after that as much as you want, not going to make you more pious.

All that matter is you observe the 3 required actions that was taught to us by Ibrahim

About what to say

1- “Recite what is has been inspired to you of your Lord’s book. There is no changing to His words and you will not find any refuge besides Him.” 18:27

This verse does not specify any one activity, as a result reciting Quranic words can be done at all times including while we are worshipping God through Salat.

2- “You shall recite what is revealed to you of the book and observe the Salat.” 29:45

This verse speaks of two activities, the recitation of the Quran and also the Salat. The fact that God speaks of the two activities in the same verse provides us with good advice to use the Quran during our Salat.

3- “They are not all the same; among the people of the book are an upright nation, they recite God’s revelations during the night while they prostrate.” 3:113

This verse goes one step further, it speaks of the righteous and how they recite the scripture while prostrating. As we know prostrating is one of the acts of Salat, and therefore there is a stronger indication here that the words recited during the Salat must be from the scripture (in our case the Quran).

4- In 20:14 we are told that the salat is observed for the purpose of commemorating (zhikr) God:

“I am God, there is no god but Me, therefore you shall worship Me and observe the Salat to commemorate Me.” 20:14

So basically choose what you want from the Quran, it is all from Allah

Let’s say hypothetically your going through a divorce, read the divorce ayats

Or say your sick, then read the ayats that are about health.

Regards to what I say from the beginning

Well most start salah by saying Allahu Akbar and then the shahada

Saying Allahu Akbar is completely wrong. Akbar means greatest in comparison to, it doesn’t just mean greatest.

Allah himself never says he Allahu Akbar but Allahu KABR which means Great (with no comparisons)

In fact to go further we don’t even pronounce the word Allah correctly. There is no al-llahi in the Qur’an but Ellah because the first alif(Arabic letter) in the name of God in Qur’an doesn’t have fattah(ah) on top but waslah(eh) whose sound is more of ” ehh” not “ahh”  so the right way to call God in Arabic is Ellah not Allah

Then there shahada is completely wrong as well

Allah mentions his servants but separates himself when it comes to shahada

6.18 And He is the Supreme, above His servants; and He is the Wise, the Aware.

6.19 Say: What thing is the weightiest in testimony? Say: Allah is witness between you and me; and this Quran has been revealed to me that with it I may warn you and whomsoever it reaches. Do you really bear witness that there are other gods with Allah?

Say: I do not bear witness.

Say: He is only one Allah, and surely I am clear of that which you set up (with Him).

Notice it says QUL SAY as a direct response and not giving you and option to say anything else.

By putting Muhammad’s name next to Allah they are inadvertently setting up something with Allah (and as he states he is supreme/above his servants)

They are combining two ayats to produce 1 shahada goes against the proclamations set by Allah in how we are commanded to respond.

We all know what the majority mean to say with the current shahada is Allah is one and without Muhammad (and following his sunnah aka man written Hadiths) we can not be a Muslim.

Hadithers give weight to the messenger when the only weight that Muhammad himself was commanded to give was to the message. The two being in one sentence goes against many ayats and for many reasons.

Here is the word shahada in the Quran

Alonee Shahada.

6:19 Say: “What could most weightily (akbaru) BEAR WITNESS (shahādatan) to the truth?” Say: “God is witness between me and you; and this Qur’an has been revealed unto me so that on the strength thereof I might warn you and all whom it may reach.” Could you in truth bear witness that there are other deities side by side with God? Say: “I bear no [such] witness!” Say: “He is the One God; and, behold, far be it from me to ascribe divinity, as, you do, to aught beside Him!”

3:18 God bears witness (shahida l-lahu) that there is no god but He; as do the angels, and those with knowledge; He is standing with justice. There is no god but Him, the Noble, the Wise.

4:166 But God bears witness (l-lahu yashhadu) for what He has sent down to you with His knowledge, and the angels bear witness; and GOD IS ENOUGH AS A WITNESS (wakafā billahi shahīdan.)

9:107 There are those who establish a temple to do harm and cause rejection, to cause division among those who acknowledge, and as an outpost for those who fought God and His messenger before. They will swear that they only wanted to do good, but God bears witness (wal-lahu  yashhadu) that they are liars.

59:11 Have you noted those who are hypocrites, they say to their companions in denial among the people of the book: “If you are driven out we will go out with you, and we will never obey anyone who opposes you. If anyone fights you, we will support you.” God bears witness (wal-lahu yashhadu) that they are liars.

63:1 When the hypocrites come to you they say, “We bear witness that you are the messenger of God.” God knows that you are His messenger, and God bears witness (wallahu yashhadu) that the hypocrites are liars.

39:45 When God Alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not acknowledge the Hereafter are filled with aversion; and when others are mentioned beside Him, they rejoice!

40:12 This is because when God Alone was mentioned, you rejected, but when partners were associated with Him, you acknowledged. Therefore, the judgment is for God, the Most High, the Most Great.

Notice it’s always Allah alone.

The closest we have to a shahada that actually mentions a prophet is this ayat and it ain’t even Muhammad that’s mentioned but Ibrahim.

I can go further to say the wudu that is currrently the norm isn’t even correct

Read this carefully

ABLUTION (wudu): “O you who believe, when you rise to observe the Salat, you shall wash your faces and your arms to the elbows, and >>WIPE<< your heads and your feet to the ankles.” 5:6

Notice the Quran doesn’t say WASH your feet, it says wipe your feet and for a special reason.

Your hands are clean after you wash them, then by touching your feet you contaminate your hands again. So Allah says wipe your feet, not wash.

I can go on about the mistakes they make all day.

Like for example sis, you asked about rakat.

I basically said it’s stand bow and prostrate anything beyond that is just additions which don’t make you any more pious.

But what I didn’t mention sis is the hadiths they use to justify rakats have actions in there that they don’t follow themselves.

Whenever you ask them to produce the hadiths that justify rakats, they always provide these two hadiths out of the handful available.

Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘umar: I saw that whenever Allah’s Apostle stood for the prayer, he used to raise both his hands up to the shoulders, and used to do the same on saying the Takbir for bowing and on raising his head from it and used to say, “Sami a-l-lahu Liman hamida”. But he did not do that (i.e. raising his hands) in prostrations. (Book #12, Hadith #703)

Narrated Nafi’: Whenever Ibn ‘umar started the prayer with Takbir, he used to raise his hands: whenever he bowed, he used to raise his hands (before bowing) and also used to raise his hands on saying, “Sami a-l-lahu Liman hamida”, and he used to do the same on rising from the second Rak’a (for the 3rd Rak’a). Ibn ‘umar said: “The Prophet used to do the same.” (Book #12, Hadith #706)

Sis in Bukhari it states the prophet used to raise both hands up to the shoulders after not just the first but every step.

So even though they take a portion of the hadiths to justify rakats, they disregard the other portion.

Q: Honestly I am impress with your meticolous information which I would never be got it in Indonesian muslim

I have been asking the wudu, salah, hajj, rakaat to many Indonesia muslim and none able to give me exact depth satisfied explanation.

The hardest thing is in Indonesia if a child were born in muslim family, the school will automatically grouping those child as muslim. And he/she must undergo muslim classes, and the score will be part of graduation criteria

When religion part of legal constitution of a country, all matter is convoluted with the majority of religion belief and practice

A:

Sis shariah we have today is the shariah and the Islamic nations today are comprised of hadiths contributions, not Quran

The shariah from Islamic sect or nations mostly goes against human nature and contradicts the true and only Islamic laws issued by Allah alone.

Allah mentions Shariah and i suggest all do scholarly study of the word.

The root of shariah is “sha ra aa” and it means issuing laws and practices.

The root with some of its derivatives are mentioned in Quran 3 times

(42:13, 42:21, and 5:48).

42:13 He has ordained (Shara`a) for you of the religion what He enjoined upon Nuh, and that which We have revealed to you, and what We enjoined upon Ibrahim and Musa and Isa. To establish the religion and not be divided therein. Is difficult on the polytheists what you call them to it. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills, and guides to Himself whoever turns.

Notice in 42:13 it says “and that which We have revealed to you, and what We enjoined upon Ibrahim and Musa and Isa. To establish the religion and not be divided therein.”

HADITHS are not what Allah revealed and are shariah from divided (sects) so called Muslims.

42:21 Or for them (are) partners “who have ordained” (sharaʿū) for them of the religion what not Allah has given permission of it And if not (for) a word decisive, surely, it (would have) been judged between them. And indeed, the wrongdoers, for them (is a) punishment painful.

In 42:21 Shariah is used with a negative connotation because it is ordained by men and not Allah, EXACTLY what shariah of hadiths is.

5:48 And We revealed to you the Book in [the] truth, confirming what (was) before it of the Book and a guardian over it. So judge between them by what Allah has revealed and (do) not follow their vain desires when has come to you of the truth. For each We have made for you “a law” (shir’ʿatan) and a clear way. And if Allah (had) willed He (would have) made you one community [and] but to test you in what He (has) given you, so race (to) the good. To Allah you will all return, then He will inform you of what you were concerning it differing.

In 5:48 it states Allah has already made a clear Shariah. Hadith shariahs do not look at the clear shariahs within the book of Allah and make their own shariah.

In addition to that, the word “sharia”, itself is mentioned once in 45:18.

45:18 Then We put you on “an ordained way” (sharīʿatin) of the matter; so follow it and (do) not follow (the) desires (of) those who (do) not know.

In 45:18 it states Allah ordains the way (the law) and DO NOT FOLLOW DESIRES of others. Hadiths are EXACTLY the desires of men and not what Allah wanted.

In the verses, Allah is stating that he is the ONLY one who could issue the laws and practices through his own words

So all these Islamic countries are just politics with the label of Islam.

Majority of prophets came and fought against politicians, these hadiths have reintroduced politics into a pure deen

One of the biggest problems Islam has faced is this sis

A quick history, from the prophets death up until the Siege of Baghdad, the Quran was allowed to be studied and reasoned with independently.

In this Golden Age of Islam, Muslims were renowned for their knowledge and contributed works in numerous different fields of Academia.

Unfortuntaley since then and all the way to current history, the middle east educational system is rated as one of the most lacking in quality, in the world.

Institutionalized limitation were introduced in the 12th century and slowly, with the assistance of the ruling tribal Mongolians within that the era, intellectual freedom was irradicated.

Hadiths became a non questionable acceptance and since then the Muslims nations have the worst educational system rating in the world.

People who complained and ridiculed hadiths after 12th century were disowned from communities or put to death.

As of currently statistically Muslim nations have the worst educational systems in the world.

Thank hadiths for keeping the ummah docile. Here’s a link showing how bad Islamic education is compared to the rest of the world

http://www.gallup.com/poll/6046/education-levels-nine-predominantly-islamic-countries.aspx

This period (the twelfth century) is the exact era that Bukhari and hadiths was introduced the oldest Bukhari manuscript is from the 12-13th century, approx 700 years after Muhammad, and 400 years after the character of Bukhari.

‪The manuscript is from the hand of man named Ali bin Muhammad al-Yunini who lived in the 12th and 13th century.

Quote from below link : “The standard edition in use today was prepared by ˓Ali b. Muhammad al-Yunini (d. 1302).”
